What
is Infrared?

Saunas and steam rooms
have been around for thousands of years. While its therapeutic benefits have been
recognized, these saunas, if improperly calibrated, recreate near infrared rays which
are not beneficial to the human body. These create excessive hot air, which only
heats the skin superficially.
Komeda's infrared thermal system uses infrared radiant energy that directly penetrates
body tissues to as much as 1.5". As much as 93% of these infrared waves that
reach the skin is absorbed by the body. This accounts for the unparalleled benefits
reported to be available through an infrared thermal system, which is otherwise not
presented by conventional hot-air saunas.
